The 2011-12 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS:12) published Student Financial Aid Estimates for 2011-12 stipulating the number of full time students who received Pell grants with between $60,000 to $80,000 increased to 18% in 2011-12 from 2% in 2007-08. The Federal Pell Grant provides students with annual assistance of up to 5,815 and is awarded to both undergraduate as well as graduate level students; however, typically undergraduate students receive this type of aid.
